Semi OT: Need opinions(long)Updated!

Okay,up unyill two years ago I lived in a two family house above my aunt.This aunt an I never really got along and things came to a head and I moved out.I had to fight to get my things out and she had threw a lot away,but my bedroom was in the attic and nobody had touched anything up there.I don't drive and my mom was helping me move and promised we would go back to go through my stuff in my room but now noone will take me.There are only two things left there that I want,a bracelet given to me by a friend who just passed away and a very old Samantha doll.(possibly a white body and she was free :eek [img]smile.gif[/img] I recently bgan trying to repair my relationship with my aunt and don't want her to think I just want to get my stuff.Any thoughts on how to bring this up?Thanks and sorry to ramble.

Good job trying to repair the relationship, first off. I know how hard that can be. First, I would just be upfront, and say, "you know...I think I left a few things at your place, I can't find them anywhere, do you mind if I see if they're there the next time I come over?" Then, to reassure her that it's not just a ploy to get your stuff, bring a movie with you when you go to get your stuff and watch it with her. Not only will you get your stuff back, but you'll have a good time with your Aunt. Good luck, and let us know how it goes [img]smile.gif[/img]

I just had my aunt up for dinner tonight and I think things went really well.We talked for a while and she said she hadn't thrown anything away and I could go get it when I come down to see her new cats.The only weird thing is she wants to wait till the weather warms up and I'm not sure why.She also invited me to a family paty on the 21rst!I hope she does let me have my doll though [img]rolleyes.gif[/img]
